The New England Fire/Rescue/EMS 2011 Committee cordially invites you to join us at the Sheraton Springfield Hotel and the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, MA for the display of fire, EMS and related areas of apparatus and equipment for the 89th Annual Conference & Exposition.
This conference is fully sponsored by the New England Association of Fire Chiefs, Inc., and co-hosted with the New England Division of the IAFC, and the New England Fire Apparatus Maintenance Association, with grateful assistance from the New England Fire Equipment Exhibitors Association.
The Board meets several times a year to formulate and bring you the very best in top-notch seminars, exhibits, workshops and entertainment. This years Conference will again focus on high quality Educational Seminars and workshops for everybody. Chief Coulombe's Education Committee has come up with top-notch seminars plus on site demonstrations.
HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS
Rooms at the five contracted hotels are not available for reservations until April 15th. The Host Hotel Rate is only $109.00. For guarantee of the conference rate you must register by May 21st. Hotel reservations must be made by telephone.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Our Opening Ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 23rd at 8:00am at the Sheraton Hotel. View our full schedule of events and make sure you plan and register ahead of time.
EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS
Tthis year all day seminars will be held on Thursday, June 23rd (at the Sheraton) & Friday June 24th (at the Expo Center). The Educational Committee has been able to attract some outstanding speakers for the Fire/Rescue/EMS Conference 2011. Exhibitor workshops & demonstrations will be held during exhibit hours at the exhibit area. We hope this year's educational program will continue to move us forward as we continue to be "Dedicated to Professional Development". See the enclosed education outline for further information.
SIGN UP TO BE AN EXHIBITOR
We expect another sell out for exhibit space. The 2010 conference attracted over 6,000 attendees to view 350 exhibit booths plus 100 vehicle displays. Exhibitor information and registration and packages will be mailed in April. Exhibitor information is available on this site.
GOLF CLASSIC
The 21st Annual Golf Classic will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd at the St. Anne's Country Club in Agawam, with a Shotgun starting time of 8:00am. All members, guests, & exhibitors are welcome. Register by June 1st.
MEMORIAL SERVICE
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 25th at 4:30pm at the Christ Church Cathedral in Springfield. Please join us as we salute those members that have answered their last alarm and all Firefighters who died in the line of duty. All members, guests & vendors are welcome to attend. Members are requested to wear Class "A" dress uniform but this is not required. Your presence is requested and important to us.
CHURCH SERVICES
Regular Catholic & Protestant services will also be held at 7:30am on Sunday at the Sheraton Hotel..
THEME NIGHT
Theme Night this year is a 50's/60's Night at the Sheraton Hotel on Friday at 7:00pm.. A live band or DJ will be playing for your entertainment..
THE GUESTS PROGRAM
A cooking class is also on the agenda to take place at the Sheraton on Friday, June 25th with its head chef. Also, on Friday there will be a Meet & Greet with an Ice Cream Social.On Saturday there will be a luncheon in the Sheraton Hotel.You must pre-register and you must fill out the registration form completely by checking off all the partners events you wish to attend.
ANNUAL BANQUET & PRESIDENTIAL CELEBRATION
The Annual Presidential Banquet and Awards Ceremony of both Associations will take place at the Sheraton Springfield Hotel on Saturday, June 25th at 7:00pm.
